A honeymoon in Mauritius fills up fast: catamaran, Île aux Cerfs, the waterfalls in the south, the markets. And by the end of the trip, many couples reach the same conclusion — they saw everything, but they had very little time alone.
That's exactly what a morning like this is for: a table set facing the lagoon, two hours, and nothing to organise.
Why morning rather than dinner
Mauritian hotels are very good at the romantic dinner — it's often already included in honeymoon packages. Mornings, on the other hand, are almost always free. And they're the best part of the day on the northern beaches.
Between 8am and 10am the lagoon is translucent, the beach is quiet, the light is soft. You have the setting to yourselves, and the whole day still ahead. A dinner ends a day; a brunch begins one.
Where, in the north
- Pointe aux Canonniers — the most private, with corners sheltered from passers-by.
- Trou aux Biches — white sand and filao trees, the most photogenic setting.
- Mont Choisy — wide open, there's always space to yourselves.
- Pereybère — livelier, handy if you're heading out afterwards.
We scout the spot before the day itself, based on the tide and the angle of the sun — the same stretch of beach looks quite different from one hour to the next.
The add-ons that matter on a honeymoon
We offer several extras, but not all of them are equal for a honeymoon. In order of impact:
- HD photo session — you'll go home with couple photos that are neither selfies nor hotel snapshots. By far the most requested add-on, and the one people most regret skipping.
- Drone video — the shot that rises above the lagoon. Spectacular, and impossible to recreate yourself.
- Fresh flower bouquet — it anchors the table and photographs beautifully.
- Custom layer cake — to mark a date: the wedding, or the day you met.
- Alcohol-free prosecco — to toast at 9am without writing off the day.
When to visit Mauritius for a honeymoon
May to November is the safest window: dry, mild, calm seas in the morning. September and October are particularly pleasant — the warmth returns without the humidity of the austral summer.
From December to April it's hotter and more humid, with brief showers. Mornings often stay beautiful: another argument for a morning brunch over an afternoon one.
Organising from abroad
Most couples write to us before they even land in Mauritius. That's the right way to do it, especially in high season.
What we need: the date, the number of people, where you're staying (so we can pick the closest beach) and the occasion. Everything is arranged over WhatsApp, including from abroad, and we confirm every booking before blocking the date.
- 2 hours, table set facing the lagoon
- Gourmet brunch, fresh local produce
- Rs 6,500 for 2 people
- Northern beaches: Grand Baie, Trou aux Biches, Pereybère, Mont Choisy, Pointe aux Canonniers
- Set up before you arrive, packed down afterwards
If you'd rather stay at the villa
Some couples prefer not to move at all — especially early in the trip, when jet lag is still doing its work. In that case the Brunch Box Delivery (Rs 2,700 for 2 people) arrives at your door, plated and ready to enjoy, in careful packaging. Terrace, poolside, or the dining table: the result is the same.

Frequently asked questions
Can you arrange a private honeymoon brunch in Mauritius?
Yes. The Brunch Moris Beach Experience is a private brunch for two, with a table set facing the lagoon on a northern beach, over 2 hours, at Rs 6,500 for 2 people.
What is the best time of year for a honeymoon in Mauritius?
May to November, with dry, mild weather and calm morning seas. September and October are particularly pleasant. From December to April it's hotter and more humid, but mornings often stay beautiful.
Can I book from abroad before arriving in Mauritius?
Yes, and it's recommended in high season. Everything is arranged over WhatsApp at +230 5735 5164 or through the website form. We need the date, the number of people, where you're staying and the occasion.
Do you offer a photographer or drone video?
Yes, the HD photo session and drone video are available as add-ons. They are the two most requested extras for a honeymoon, because they produce images you cannot get on your own.
Do you operate near the hotels in the north of the island?
We operate in Grand Baie, Trou aux Biches, Pereybère, Mont Choisy and Pointe aux Canonniers, and we choose the beach closest to where you're staying. Other areas are possible on request.
